Same as every Grand Carrera watch, Calibre 36 RS Chronograph is also equipped with “rotating disk system” which is used to replace the traditional sub-dial. Its design inspiration comes from the dashboard of GT racing car. The rotating disk at 3 o’clock position is minute timer, and the disk at 6 o’clock is hour counter. From 8:00 to 10 o’clock position, there is a small narrow window is second counter. It’s time to look at the chronograph system. From a technical point of view, this is often a core part of a watch. It is self-winding system, tested by the COSC. Its frequency is 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz). The Calibre 36, that is the world-famous Zenith El Primero, has been able to ensure the accuracy of tenths of a second. This TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS Concept Chronograph has a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock position on its black dial, polished hands and hour markers with luminous coating. The most captivating part of the dial is the metal bridge connecting two sub-dials with Cotes de Geneve decoration.
The 43 mm case of this Grand Carrera Chronograph is forged by polished stainless steel or PVD-coated titanium. It is equipped with tachymetre. Dial is protected by anti-scratch sapphire crystal. Stainless steel TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 36 RS Chronograph can be equipped with stylish stainless steel bracelet or sporty black leather strap. Titanium with PVD coating model is mounted with black artificial leather or black crocodile leather strap. They are both water resistant to 100 meters.
